I just can’t believe how big my nephews are getting! They are growing up to be such sweet boys …. can’t.handle.it.

San Diego 30th Birthday Weekend

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! I hope you are able to snuggle up with someone you love tonight… or if there isn’t a special someone – snuggle up with a good movie, bottle of wine and know that they’re out there somewhere probably doing the same thing tonight, thinking of you.

I wanted to share some fun photos from last weekend. Nathan and I met our besties, Chris and Ashley in San Diego to celebrate my 30th birthday! We rented a cool modern house in the Pacific Beach Hills Neighborhood – and let me tell you, I’m now a fan of house rental vs hotel. We slept in each day, went to Trader Joes, cooked a fresh breakfast at the house and sat outside to enjoy it with palm trees in the backyard… it was delightful. Not only did we enjoy walking on the beaches of La Jolla looking for seals, getting our nails done (Ashley +I), finding the best sushi ever, wandering around a winery + vineyard …. but we had the best quality time (which was a rare treat as Chris and Ashley live in Dallas and we live in Denver). I’m already missing the sounds of the waves crashing and the warmth of that perfect San Diego sunshine. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the weekend:

Happy Wednesday!

I have to admit, I’m not the best blogger (you’re saying, “yeah, we know.”). I’m trying to get better at it… it’s actually sort of a New Year’s resolution to blog more frequently. I realized today that I never blogged an August wedding (oops!) – that was full-on Western and too fun not to share! Cowboy boots, hay bales, wild flowers galore, country music, horses …. a perfect Colorado summer wedding! This wedding was especially nice for me because I had gone to high school with the bride + groom and got to see so many people that I haven’t seen in forever!

Sarah + Matt’s western wedding was the definition of celebration from start to finish! The wedding was held at Sarah’s parent’s house out in the country … wide open fields, horses, cows, big trucks + hot rods – so fun! The benefit of a backyard wedding, is that you can be as laid back as you want to be… no restrictions with a venue/caterer, flexible timeline, and dancing into the night without having to cut anything short. Sarah + Matt truly tailored their wedding to fit their personalities and their story. Matt + his groomsmen arrived to the ceremony site by horseback, while Sarah + her bridesmaids each arrived in different hot rods! Their ceremony was sweet + intimate, with fun moments + laughs .. it was a joy to photograph!

The reception was nothing but fun – country music, BBQ, cupcakes and a gorgeous, warm summer night.

Nathan + I were honored to be apart of your special day, Matt + Sarah! Here are a few of my favorite photos! Enjoy!

xoxo,

Jenna

Well, folks … I think we’re officially in winter. Today, the snow softly fell all day, blanketing our home in a wonderland of white. However, Colorado’s first major “snow day” of the year happened back in October… and I remember it so well because it was the wedding day of Sara + Trey. Even though this couple grew up in different states, they found each other in Denver, Colorado. Sara is one of the most organized brides I have had the pleasure of working with – and it all paid off, because their day went off without a hitch. The snow that fell that October morning only added to the incredible beauty of their day. The ceremony and reception were held at the gorgeous Willow Ridge Manor in Morrison, CO. This venue has one of the BEST mountain views in all of Colorado … simply breathtaking. Sara + Trey opted to do a “first look” which was romantic to watch as they saw each other for the first time that day, and also gave us ample time to capture their portraits before the ceremony began. I highly recommend doing a “first look” if you have the option (Nathan and I did for our own wedding as well!).

To Sara + Trey : thank you for allowing Nathan and I to share in your wonderful day… your ceremony (officiated by Sara’s brother) was so sweet, your reception was crazy fun with some great dancing + your friends and family were so welcoming and warm. Your day was perfect. We wish you all the best!

Happy Friday!

I thought I would share a few photos I took of my adorable new nephew Alex (who was born this past summer) when he was teeeny tiny.

Now, he’s a little chunker with the cutest chubby thighs + cheeks;)

Enjoy the difference in the photos from the summer…. to the most recent Christmas photos I took of my sister’s beautiful family (also including my other adorable nephew, and Alex’s older brother: Isaiah).
